Pupil Premium

We use our Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) to support children’s academic achievement and social, moral, spiritual and emotional well-being.

The funding is used to overcome barriers which prevent some children accessing learning in a way that’s comparable with the rest of the pupil cohort.

The PPG enables us to provide exciting and challenging learning experiences appropriate to the needs of child. Our Mission Statement of ‘Growing together in love and learning’ means that all children must be given the opportunity to fulfil potential and realise ambitious goals. The additional motivating and engaging activities we offer through the PPG, help to raise self-esteem and promote a life-long love of learning.

Many of the activities funded by the PPG enabled children to grow in confidence and to be fully included in their class groups. The social and pastoral benefits of such inclusion proved critical to children’s self-esteem.

Pupil Premium expenditure is tracked on a monthly basis, in line with other school accounts. Progress of the children in receipt of this funding is reviewed twice termly.

A full review of PPG spend, and the progress of the relevant children, is carried out annually and is monitored and reviewed by the Finance and Resources Committee and full Local Governing Body.
